Trading - An Adventure In The Stock Market
Though I have been working in an Indian manufacturing Industry for over 30 years, and my employer is coming under the category of top ten industrialist of India, my knowledge about stock market was terrible. I was not even using my company’s employee 401K. But based on a relative’s advice, I decided I had to learn more.
A few years back, my cousin encouraged me to invest some portion of my hard-earned money in stocks of some profit making companies. In the beginning I was hesitant, but finally I bought few shares through a local share broker.
My first impression about the stock market was great because I got some profit in my first adventure out of the gate. This was my beginning in stock option trading system. A field which was alien to me became my part and parcel of my life.
Unlike today, share use to be printed. My involvement in the market slowly increased. My stock broker now uses a computer. The stock market changed quickly due to the rapid computerization and ease of access to the internet in India.
Slowly I realized the importance of stock option strategies to progress in this field and I learn about option trading systems. Option trading, which was unknown and mysterious a few years back, has become so popular that most of the television channels started broadcasting both online share prices and option prices directly from the stock exchanges.
As trading became popular, I applied for a paperless account and before long I had an online account and traded daily. My fortune constantly was up and down right along with the market. I soon was trading from my cell phone.
Three months ago I received software from my broker and installed it on my computer. My wife, a commerce major in college, now trades online on my behalf. I am now much more confident and even give my friends advice.
Now I watch the world markets along with the Indian market. Presently, the performance of all markets are interdependent. I believe the American market guides the world market. Where the American market goes, the world follows. Every trader loves to see the markets in the green.
